GB/T 40593-2021 is the English-translated version of 同步发电机调速系统参数实测及建模导则.

GB/T 40593-2021 is a guide to measuring the parameters of the speed governing systems of synchronous generators and building the models used in power system stability studies.

It covers steam turbine units, including thermal, nuclear and solar thermal plants, hydro units including pumped storage, and gas and combined cycle units, and other types may follow it by reference.

The document defines the governing system, control system and actuator, and sets out general requirements, test conditions, the governing system models, parameter measurement and identification, simulation verification, and the final confirmation of model parameters with a stability check.

Annexes give parameter collection sheets, common models and signal acquisition. Grid operators, test institutes and plant owners use it. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

1 Scope

This document specifies the synchronous generator speed control system model, parameter measurement and identification, simulation verification and simulation for power system stability analysis and calculation. Type parameter confirmation and stability check requirements.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in DL/T 1235-2019 apply to this document.

3.1 Governing system

A device that controls the speed and output power of a synchronous generator to maintain the normal operation of the unit.

Note: Including control system, actuator, prime mover and energy supply system, etc.

3.2 Control system

In order to control key parameters such as frequency/power, the control components and equipment provided.

3.3 Actuator
