Scope

GB/T 40574-2021 is the English-translated version of 大型工业承压设备检测机器人通用技术条件.

GB/T 40574-2021 is the general specification for robots that carry out inspection tasks inside and outside large industrial pressure equipment, such as spherical tanks and storage tanks of more than 1000 cubic metres.

It sets out classification and model coding, and technical requirements for appearance and structure, functions, mobility, safety protection, detection capability, continuous running time, video image performance, power adaptability, communication, environmental adaptability and reliability, each with a matching test method.

It also gives inspection rules for factory and type inspection, requirements for marking, the manual, packaging, transport and storage, and a normative annex on test objects.

Flight inspection robot systems are excluded, as are robots for special environments such as flammable and explosive atmospheres, nuclear radiation, high or low temperature. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and model coding, technical requirements, test methods, Inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage, etc.

This standard applies to robots that perform inspection tasks inside and outside large industrial pressure equipment. This standard does not apply to flight inspection robot systems.

This standard does not apply to large-scale industrial pressure-bearing equipment testing robots used in special environments such as inflammable and explosive, nuclear radiation, high temperature, and low temperature.
