Scope

GB/T 40505-2021 is the English-translated version of 湿式电除尘器性能测试方法.

GB/T 40505-2021 sets out how the performance of wet electrostatic precipitators, which remove the particles collected on the electrodes with water, is tested. It covers the technical parameters, the test items and requirements, the arrangement of measuring holes, the test methods and the preparation of the test report.

A normative annex determines the representative measuring points, and informative annexes describe an SO3 condensing device, a droplet catcher and the report format.

Unless stated otherwise, flue gas volumes and pollutant concentrations are those of dry flue gas under standard conditions of 273.15 K and 101.325 kPa. It applies to wet electrostatic precipitators in coal-fired power plants, industrial boilers and the steel and chemical industries, among others. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

This standard was jointly proposed by the National Development and Reform Commission and the China Machinery Industry Federation.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the main performance test items, test methods and report compilation of wet electrostatic precipitators.

This standard applies to the performance test of wet electrostatic precipitators in coal-fired power plants, industrial boilers, steel industry, chemical industry, etc. Can refer to the implementation.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Wet electrostatic precipitator

Electrostatic precipitator that removes particles adsorbed on the electrode with water.

3.2 Standard condition; standard state

The gas state of the flue gas at a temperature of 273.15K and an atmospheric pressure of 101.325kPa.

Note: Unless otherwise specified, the flue gas volume and atmospheric pollutant concentration specified in this standard refer to the value of dry flue gas under standard conditions.

3.3 Dry flue gas

Smoke that does not contain moisture.
