Scope

GB/T 45609-2025 is the English-translated version of 等离子体处理危险废物技术及评价要求.

GB/T 45609-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering destroying hazardous waste in a thermal plasma torch rather than a furnace — the general and technical requirements for the plant, the pollution emission control, the resource utilisation of the vitrified slag and the gas, and the evaluation of an operating installation across facility utilisation, environmental benefit, energy consumption, technical and economic performance and operation management, which is what tells a plant that runs from one that merely started. First edition, under the National Development and Reform Commission. In force from 1 December 2025. Issued on 30 May 2025, it has been in force since 1 December 2025.
