Scope

GB/T 41015-2021 is the English-translated version of 固体废物玻璃化处理产物技术要求.

GB/T 41015-2021 deals with the glassy products obtained when solid waste is vitrified, that is, melted at high temperature with fluxes and auxiliaries and then cooled.

It sets the technical and management requirements for these products, together with the test methods, inspection rules and the packaging, transport and storage conditions.

It is used to establish whether the product of vitrification is really in a glassy state and to check its environmental safety and quality management. Its normative references include the solid waste identification rules of GB 34330, the leaching methods for heavy metals and standards on construction sand, gravel and abrasives.

It does not apply to radioactive solid waste. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.
