Scope
GB/T 40033-2021 is the English-translated version of 地表蒸散发遥感产品真实性检验.
GB/T 40033-2021 describes how to check the accuracy of remote sensing products of land surface evapotranspiration against reference data. It applies to daily, monthly and yearly products at global and regional scale, and builds on the validation rules of GB/T 36296-2018 and GB/T 39468-2020.
It sets the basic requirements for the reference data, which should cover the same area at the same time as the product, include the main surface types with high, medium and low evapotranspiration values, and come preferably from ground observation.
It then covers how to choose between direct and indirect inspection methods and the inspection report, with its cover information, body information and summary, and adds informative annexes on ground observation instruments, relative true values and accuracy calculation. It was issued on 30 April 2021 and has applied since 1 November 2021.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
Introduction
Surface evapotranspiration is the sum of vegetation transpiration, evaporation of precipitation intercepted by soil, water, and vegetation canopy, as well as the sublimation of ice and snow. It is the surface energy An important component of balance and water cycle. Remote sensing technology is one of the effective means to obtain continuous surface evapotranspiration in time and space.
Remote sensing products of surface evapotranspiration at global and regional scales. Due to the limitations of algorithms and data, remote sensing products for surface evapotranspiration inevitably exist Errors need to be verified for authenticity. However, due to differences in verification data, inspection methods, and evaluation indicators, the current authenticity test results The results are not comparable, so it is necessary to formulate scientific and standardized testing standards for the authenticity of remote sensing products of surface evapotranspiration.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements, inspection methods and inspection reports for the authenticity inspection of remote sensing products for surface evapotranspiration.
This standard is applicable to the authenticity inspection of remote sensing products of surface evapotranspiration on a daily/monthly/year global scale and regional scale.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated reference documents, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the latest version (including all modified versions) is applicable to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 36296-2018 and GB/T 39468-2020 apply to this document.
3.1 Land surface evapotranspiration
The process in which liquid or solid water enters the atmosphere through the interface of vegetation, soil, water, ice and snow on the surface of the land.
Note 1. Including the evaporation of vegetation, soil, water and vegetation canopy intercepted precipitation evaporation, and the sublimation of snow and ice.
Note 2. The unit is millimeter (mm).
3.2 Flux source area
The upwind region that has a major contribution to flux observations.
Note: It can be obtained by integrating the transmission function of the instrument observation value and the spatial distribution of the near-surface source/sink space in a specific area.
4 Basic requirements
The authenticity inspection of remote sensing products for surface evapotranspiration shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 7 of GB/T 36296-2018 and meet the following requirements.
a) The reference object should be in the same area at the same time as the remote sensing product of surface evapotranspiration to be inspected;
b) The reference object should cover the main surface types of the inspection area, with high, medium and low surface evapotranspiration values;
c) The reference object should be the first choice to observe the surface evapotranspiration data from the ground, or it can be selected as the projection method of the remote sensing product of the surface evapotranspiration to be inspected. Remote sensing products (or model products, reanalysis data, etc.) that have been inspected or multiple types of land surface evapotranspiration to be inspected with the same temporal and spatial resolution, or Data on the impact factors of surface evapotranspiration have been checked.
5 Inspection method
5.1 Inspection method selection
Choose the corresponding inspection method according to the availability of the reference object.
