Scope

GB/T 37214-2018 is the English-translated version of 陶瓷外墙砖通用技术要求.

GB/T 37214-2018 sets the general technical requirements for ceramic tiles used to protect and decorate the exterior walls of buildings. It applies to exterior wall tiles with water absorption of not more than 6%.

The standard gives terms and definitions, including the back pattern of concave and convex grooves on the rear face, and covers classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and instructions, packaging, storage and transport.

Tests refer to the GB/T 3810 series for dimensions and surface quality, water absorption, modulus of rupture, thermal shock, crazing, frost and chemical resistance, and to GB 6566 for radionuclide limits.

Tile manufacturers, builders and inspection bodies use it. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2019.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and instructions, packaging, and ceramic exterior wall tiles. Storage and transportation.

This standard is applicable to outdoor wall protection and decorative ceramic exterior wall tiles for buildings with water absorption of not more than 6%.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4100 apply to this document.

3.1 External ceramic tile

Ceramic tiles used for exterior wall protection and decoration of buildings.

3.2 Back feet

The back surface of the ceramic exterior wall tile has a certain shape of concave and convex grooves.
