Scope
GB/T 36506-2018 is the English-translated version of 航空用救生筏.
GB/T 36506-2018 covers aviation life rafts: inflatable rafts carried on aircraft for two or more occupants, for use when the aircraft makes a forced landing. It sorts them into Type I and Type II rafts and sets technical requirements for performance, environmental adaptability, ergonomics, size, material, colour, warning signs and appearance.
The test methods run from pressure resistance, airtightness, inflation, righting, stability, buoyancy, canopy and sea anchor to seawater soaking, temperature, damp heat, flight impact and crash safety, vibration, mould and salt spray.
It also gives inspection rules with identification and quality consistency tests, marking, labels and accompanying documents, and packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to the development, production and inspection of these rafts. It was issued on 13 July 2018 and has applied since 1 February 2019.
