GB/T 36478.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 物联网 信息交换和共享 第1部分：总体架构.
GB/T 36478.1-2018 is the first of four parts of the Chinese series on information exchange and sharing in the Internet of Things, and it sets out the overall architecture.
It describes the process activities involved when one IoT system accesses and uses data generated by another: data provision, data management, exchange and sharing, data usage and rights management, each carried out by one or more functional entities.
It then defines the modes of exchange and sharing, a direct connection mode and an intermediary mode. Terms such as IoT data, data provider and data demander are defined, building on GB/T 33474-2016 and GB/T 33745-2017.
It applies to planning, designing, developing, operating and maintaining information exchange between IoT systems. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword
GB/T 36478 "Internet of Things Information Exchange and Sharing" is divided into four parts.

This part is the first part of GB/T 36478.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 36478 specifies the process activities, functional entities and information involved in the exchange and sharing of information between IoT systems. Shared exchange mode.
This section applies to the planning, design, system development, and operation and maintenance management of information exchange and sharing between IoT systems.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 33745-2017 apply to this document.
3.1 Internet of Things Data
A collective term for perceived data and data associated with perceived objects.
3.2 Information exchange and sharing
The process of accessing and using IoT data generated by an IoT system by other IoT systems.
3.3 Data provider
An Internet of Things system that provides IoT data.
3.4 Data demander
An IoT system that obtains IoT data from a data provider.
4 Exchange and shared architecture
4.1 Overview
The architecture for information exchange and sharing between IoT systems consists of data provision, data management, exchange and sharing, data usage and rights management, etc.
A process activity consisting of one or more functional entities for each type of process activity. As shown in Figure 1.
