Scope
GB/T 35403.3-2018 is the English-translated version of 国家物品编码与基础信息通用规范 第3部分：生产资料.
GB/T 35403.3-2018 sets out how means of production, the material resources needed for production, are numbered and described.
It specifies the three-part production data code: a classification code in three two-digit layers for major, medium and minor categories, based on an international system such as the UNSPSC, a base name code and an attribute code.
It also covers the application of the code, its management and maintenance, and the basic information that accompanies each item, with annexes giving the attribute coding table, code examples, a code register and application examples.
It is Part 3 of GB/T 35403 and builds on the general framework of Part 1. It applies to processing and exchanging production materials information in business and to building information management systems. It was issued on 15 March 2018 and has applied since 1 October 2018.

Foreword
GB/T 35403 "General Specification for National Article Numbering and Basic Information" is divided into four parts.

This part is Part 3 of GB/T 35403.
This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 35403 specifies the composition of the production data code, the classification of production data, the base name, the principle of attribute coding, and Law, structure, application, management and maintenance, as well as the composition and application of basic information on production materials.
This section applies to the processing and exchange of production materials information in the course of business activities, the establishment of information management systems for production materials and information Exchange can refer to use.

3.1 Means of production
Material resources needed for production.
4 Composition of production data codes
The production data code consists of three parts. the production data classification code, the production data reference name code, and the production data attribute code.
5 Production Information Classification Code
5.1 The principle of classification and coding of production data
The classification of production data should be unique, extensible, concise and normative. See 5.2 of GB/T 35403.1-2017.
5.2 Method and structure of classification and coding of production data
The production data classification code adopts the line classification method, and should adopt the international general classification coding system, such as the United Nations standard products and services Class Code (United Nations Standard Products and Services Code, UNSPSC). New production materials can be in accordance with Chapter 9 Ask for an update. The production data classification code is divided into 3 layers, which represent the major, medium, and minor categories of production data, and each layer adopts 2 digits. The number is shared by 6 digits.
Example:
The classification code for vegetable seeds and seedlings in the means of production is divided into three layers: the first layer uses a 2-digit series of sequential numbers 10, and is represented as a broad category: plants, animals, and related products; the second layer uses a 2-digit serial code of 15 and is expressed in the middle category: seeds, bulbs, seedlings, and pruning; the third layer is further refined, using a 2-digit system. The column sequence number 15 is represented as a sub-category: vegetable seeds and seedlings, and the coding structure is shown in Figure 1.
