Scope

GB/T 35403.1-2017 is the English-translated version of 国家物品编码与基础信息通用规范 第1部分:总体框架.

GB/T 35403.1-2017 is the first part of the general specification for national article numbering and basic article information, and it sets the overall framework.

Clause 1 states that this part specifies the principle, the method and the structure of the article coding system, of the article classification code, of the article reference code and of the article attribute code, together with the application of the article coding system, its management and maintenance, and the composition and application of the basic information of articles; the sentence on who may apply it, which concerns information processing and the exchange of article information in business activities and the building of article information management systems, is left broken in the draft.

The part is organised in ten clauses, Scope, Normative references, Terms and definitions, the composition of the article coding system, the article classification code, the article reference code, the article attribute code, the application of the article coding system, its management and maintenance, and the basic information of articles, followed by a normative appendix on article code registration and a list of references.

The clause on the composition of the system states that the article coding system consists of the article classification code, the article reference code and the article attribute code, and that these three parts delimit and explain the coding object at a granularity running from coarse to fine.

The clause on the article classification code opens with the principles that classification must follow, that the objective must be clear and the logical and attributive relations between articles made explicit, that categories of the same type must not overlap or repeat each other, that the granularity of the classification system must be evenly distributed and comparable for articles of the same type, and that the most stable attributes or characteristics of the article must be chosen as the basis of the classification.

Clause 3 takes over definitions from GB/T 10113-2003 and repeats some of them for ease of use, printing the method of linear classification, in which objects are divided level by level according to selected attributes, categories at the same level forming a parallel relationship and categories at different levels a subordinate one; clause 2 cites a standard on the general terms of classification and coding whose number the draft does not print.

The foreword records that GB/T 35403 is divided into four parts, the overall framework, consumer goods, means of production and pharmaceutical products, and that the work is handled by the National Standardization Technical Committee on coding (SAC/TC287). It was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 July 2018.

GB/T 10113-2003 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document. For ease of use, the following list is repeated GB/T 10113-2003 some of the terms and definitions.

3.1 Line classification

methodoflinearclassification The classification of objects according to the selected number of attributes (or characteristics), successively divided into several levels, each level is divided into several categories. Same point Branches with the same level between the categories constitute a parallel relationship between the different levels constitute a subordinate category. [GB/T 10113-2003, Definition 2.1.5]

4 Item coding system components

Article coding system consists of article classification code, article reference code and article attribute code of three parts, these three parts encoding object The granularity of product classification from coarse to fine in turn were limited and explained.

5 Item classification code

5.1 Classification of objects principles

Article classification should meet the following principles.

a) A clear goal should be to clarify the logical and attributive relationship between items;

b) that the categories of the same type should ensure that the coverage of each other does not cross, not repeated;
