GB/T 35403.2-2018 is the English-translated version of 国家物品编码与基础信息通用规范第2部分：消费品.

GB/T 35403.2-2018 is Part 2 of the Chinese specification for article coding and basic information, dealing with consumer products. It sets out how the consumer product code is built from three parts, the classification code, the base name code and the attribute code, and gives the principles, methods and structure of each.

Classification uses the line method, with three layers of two digits each that can be refined to four, and should follow an international scheme such as the UNSPSC.

It also covers applying, managing and maintaining the codes, the basic information on consumer products, a registration form, code examples and a data element description method for home appliances.

It applies to processing and exchanging consumer product information in business and to building information management systems. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 35403 "General Specification for National Article Coding and Basic Information" is divided into the following four parts.

--- Part 1. Overall framework;

--- Part 2. Consumer goods;

--- Part 3. Production materials;

--- Part 4. Pharmaceutical products.

This part is the second part of GB/T 35403.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 35403 specifies the composition of consumer product coding systems, consumer product classification, benchmark names, principles of attribute coding, and Law, structure, application and maintenance, and the composition and application of basic information on consumer goods.

This section applies to the processing and exchange of consumer goods information in the course of business activities, the establishment of consumer goods information management system and information exchange Can be used for reference.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Consumer product

Products designed and manufactured for, but not limited to, personal use, including product components, parts, accessories, packaging, and instructions for use. [GB/T 35248-2017, definition 2.2]

4 Composition of consumer goods code

The consumer product code consists of three parts. consumer product classification code, consumer product base name code and consumer product attribute code.

5 Consumer Product Classification Code

5.1 Principles of Consumer Product Classification and Coding

The consumer product classification code should be unique, expandable, concise, and normative, see 5.2 of GB/T 35403.1-2017.

5.2 Method and structure of consumer product classification coding

Consumer product classification code uses line classification method, and should adopt international common classification coding system, such as UN standard product and service classification Code (United Nations Standard Products and Services Code, UNSPSC). New consumer goods can be in accordance with Chapter 9 requirements Update it. The consumer product classification code is divided into three layers, representing the large, medium and small categories of consumer goods, each with 2 digits, sharing 6 The digits are indicated.
