GB/T 35383-2017 is the English-translated version of 播种监测系统.

GB/T 35383-2017 fixes the monitoring system fitted to a sowing machine. Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the terms and definitions, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the signs, packaging, transportation and storage for the sowing monitoring system, and that it applies to sowing monitoring systems.

The terms clause takes over the definitions of GB/T 6973-2005 and adds six of its own, the first of which is the system itself, described as the system that monitors the sowing conditions of a sowing machine automatically and processes the monitoring data in real time, but whose term name the draft does not print.

The other five cover the reseeding number, as the number of seeds sown repeatedly in a given time or distance during normal operation of the planter, the missed seeding number, counted over a given time or distance during normal operation, the reseeding rate and the missed seeding rate, each as a percentage of the theoretical seeding over a given time or distance, and the number of seeds actually sown within a given time or distance, whose term name the draft runs together illegibly.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 191 on packaging pictorial signs, GB/T 2423.38 on water testing of electric and electronic products, GB 5226.1 on the electrical safety of machinery, GB/T 13306 on signs, GB/T 13384 on the packaging of mechanical and electrical products and GB 19517 on electrical equipment safety, together with a test method standard for single-grain precision planters whose number the draft does not print.

The draft stops at the end of the terms clause, so the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules announced in clause 1 are not shown on the page.

The foreword records that the standard was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation and is handled by the National Agricultural Machinery Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC201). It was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 July 2018.
