Scope

GB/T 35079-2018 is the English-translated version of 多向精密模锻件 工艺编制原则.

GB/T 35079-2018 sets out the Chinese national principles for designing the process of precision die forgings made by multi-directional die forging, in which a blank is co-extruded and forged from several directions in a closed die cavity.

It applies to forgings with a mass of not more than 1250 kg and external dimensions of not more than 1500 mm.

The general rules ask the designer to weigh material, shape complexity, tolerances, dimensional accuracy, equipment capacity, degree of deformation and die life, to optimise parameters by numerical simulation, and to calculate blank mass allowing for oxidation loss.

Annexes give forging temperature ranges for typical materials and die hardness requirements. Forging plants and process engineers use it when planning production. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the principle of process preparation for precision die forgings (hereinafter referred to as "forgings") formed by multi-directional die forging.

This standard is applicable to the multi-directional die forging process with a mass of not more than 1250kg and an external dimension of not more than 1500mm. Forgings.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

General technical conditions for GB/T 33879 multi-directional precision die forgings

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 8541 apply to this document.

3.1 Multi-directional die forging process

The multi-directional die forging forming device is used to perform multi-directional co-extrusion and forging forming processes on the blank in a closed cavity.

3.2 Multi-directional precision forgings

In the process temperature range, the precision die forgings that meet the requirements of the product are obtained through special molds and multi-directional die forging technology.

4 Compilation principles

4.1 General

4.1.1 Process preparation should comprehensively consider the forging material, forging shape complexity, quality requirements, shape tolerance, dimensional accuracy, equipment capability, Forming methods, degree of deformation, mold life and other factors.

4.1.2 The process design shall follow the deformation law of the material, based on the deformation resistance and flow stress of the forging material. Numerical simulation The method optimizes the process and parameters.

4.1.3 Process design should be conducive to the design, manufacture and cost reduction of the mold, which should facilitate rapid mold change and automation at the production site.

4.1.4 Process design should facilitate metal filling and forging demolding.

4.1.5 The calculation of the quality of the blank should fully consider the oxidation loss of the blank under different heating conditions, and avoid the inaccurate quality of the blank. The piece is not filled or expanded.

4.1.6 It should be ensured that the various processes are connected smoothly and the influence of the transit time on the billet temperature is reduced.
