Scope

GB/T 35064-2018 is the English-translated version of 煤油共炼原料技术条件.

GB/T 35064-2018 sets out the requirements for the coal and the oil that are fed together into coal-oil co-processing, where coal powder and heavy oil are made into a slurry and hydrogenated to give light oil products and gas.

It defines the terms used, including coal-oil co-processing and petroleum-based heavy oil, and groups the crude oils suitable for the process into categories.

For both the coal feedstock and the oil feedstock it gives the technical requirements and the determination methods, drawing on national methods for proximate analysis, vitrinite reflectance, grindability, density, viscosity, water, ash, toluene insolubles and aromatic carbon content.

It also covers quality inspection and delivery acceptance, including the sampling of commercial coal and petroleum liquids. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

1 Scope

This Standard specifies the category, technical requirements, determination methods, quality inspection and delivery acceptance of coal feedstocks and oil feedstocks for coal-oil co-processing.

This Standard is applicable to coal feedstocks and oil feedstocks for coal-oil co-processing.

3 Terms and Definitions

3.1 Coal-oil Co-processing

Coal-oil co-processing refers to the technology of preparing coal powder and heavy-oil into coal-oil slurry (mass fraction. 25% ~ 50%) at a certain proportion; triggering hydrogenation reaction with hydrogen at a certain temperature and pressure; triggering splitting decomposition of coal and heavy oil, which generates light oil products and gas.
