Scope

GB/T 33998-2017 is the English-translated version of 月球信息元数据.

GB/T 33998-2017 fixes the metadata with which lunar information is described. It sets the structure and content of that metadata and defines its data dictionary.

Clause 3 describes the metadata, its conceptual structure and its content, which is organised in nine subsets: metadata information, data identification information, reference system information, data attribute information, data quality information, data archiving information, data volume information, data restriction information and responsible party information.

Clause 4 fixes what the data dictionary records for each element - content description, attribute description, the Chinese and English names, the definition, the constraints and conditions, the maximum number of occurrences, the data type and the domain.

It defines the data set, lunar information as information on lunar resources acquired with lunar probes, lunar information metadata, the metadata element and attribute, the metadata entity and the metadata subset or package, taking these from GB/T 19710-2005.

Three annexes give the full data dictionary, the code tables and the conceptual model. It applies to the description, generation, archiving, distribution, exchange and application of every kind of lunar information. Issued on 12 July 2017, it has applied since 1 February 2018.

Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the structure and content of the lunar information metadata, and defines the data dictionary of the lunar information metadata.

This standard applies to the description, generation, archiving, distribution, exchange and application of various types of lunar information.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

2.1 Dataset

A collection of data that can be identified.

Note: Data sets can physically be smaller in larger datasets by constraints such as spatial scopes or feature types. In theory, the data set can be To small individual elements or feature attributes within a larger data set. A hardcopy map or chart can be considered a data set. [GB/T 19710-2005, definition 4.2]

2.2 Lunar information

Information about lunar resources acquired with lunar probes.

2.3 Lunar information metadata

The data describing the lunar information data.

2.4 Metadata element; metadata attribute

The basic unit of metadata.

Note 1: Metadata elements are unique in the metadata entity.

Note 2: rewrite GB/T 19710-2005, definition 4.6.

2.5 Metadata entity

A set of metadata elements that describe the same characteristics of the data.

Note: Can be a single entity, or it can be an aggregated entity that contains one or more entities. [GB/T 19710-2005, definition 4.7]

2.6 Metadata subsets; meta packet

A subset of metadata, consisting of related metadata entities and elements.

Note: rewrite GB/T 19710-2005, definition 4.8.

3 Metadata structure and content

3.1 Metadata Description

This standard uses the metadata data dictionary (see Appendix A), the code table (see Appendix B), and the conceptual model (see Appendix C for the conceptual model)
