Scope

GB/T 33984-2017 is the English-translated version of 电动机软起动装置 术语.

GB/T 33984-2017 is the terminology standard for motor soft starters. It defines the basic terms, the terms of the soft starting process and the terms of the soft starter and its parts, and applies to the production and the application of soft starters for alternating current motors.

Among the terms it defines are soft start, the smooth acceleration of a motor to its rated speed by changing the terminal voltage, the frequency or the rotor circuit impedance, soft stop, the soft start device itself as the assembly of switching devices with their control, measuring and regulating devices and their interconnections, enclosure and supports, and then the individual methods: soft start by voltage reduction, by liquid resistor, by thermistor, where the starting current heats a negative temperature coefficient liquid resistor in the stator circuit so that its resistance falls and the terminal voltage rises, by autotransformer voltage reduction, where two or more taps are used to lower the terminal voltage and so the starting current, and by series reactor, where the excitation current of a reactor in the stator circuit changes the saturation and the reactance of its core.

One of the definitions is a rewriting of definition 4.4.22 of GB/T 2900.18-2008. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard defines the basic terminology of motor soft starter devices, soft starter terms, soft starter terms and other soft starter Off the terms.

This standard is applicable to the production and application of AC motor soft starter.

2 Terms and definitions

2.1 Soft start

By changing the motor terminal voltage, frequency or rotor circuit impedance, etc., so that the motor smooth acceleration to the specified speed of the process.

2.2 Soft stop

By controlling the motor terminal voltage, frequency or rotor circuit impedance, etc., so that the motor from a certain speed smooth deceleration, until the stop Running the process.

2.3 Soft starter

A combination of switching devices and their control, measuring and regulating devices, as well as their interconnection with parts, accessories, protective shell, support A device with a motor soft start function.

2.4 Step-down soft start

The motor's soft start is achieved by reducing the terminal voltage of the motor.

2.5 Liquid resistance soft start

The soft start of the motor is achieved by smoothing the resistance value of the liquid resistance in series in the motor stator (or rotor) circuit.

2.6 Thermal resistance soft start

The starting current of the motor causes the temperature of the liquid resistance in series with the negative temperature coefficient in the stator circuit to rise, the resistance value is gradually reduced, So that the terminal voltage of the motor is gradually increased to realize the soft start of the motor.

2.7 Self-decompression soft start

Two or more taps are extracted from the autotransformer to reduce the terminal voltage at the time of starting the motor, thereby reducing the starting current. The soft start of the motor.

Note: rewrite GB/T 2900.18-2008, defined 4.4.22.

2.8 Magnetically controlled soft start

By adjusting the excitation current of the reactor in series in the motor stator circuit, the saturation and reactance values of the reactor core are changed, thereby Reduce the motor terminal voltage, to achieve the motor soft start.
