Scope

GB/T 33663-2017 is the English-translated version of 只读类出版物光盘CD、DVD常规检测参数.

GB/T 33663-2017 sets out the routine testing parameters for read-only optical disc publications in China, covering CD-DA, VCD, CD-ROM, DVD-Video and DVD-ROM discs.

It fixes the parameters themselves, the conditions under which each one is measured, and a weathering test, and adds a normative annex on the measurement of the optics and the optical head.

Clause 2 defines the disc types involved - read-only optical disc publication, compact disc, digital audio disc, read-only memory disc, video compact disc and digital versatile disc - reusing definitions from CY/T 85-2012, and records the 780 nm and 650 nm reading wavelengths and the 8-14 and 8-16 modulation codes.

Disc plants and publication inspection laboratories use it on finished product. It was issued on 12 May 2017 and has applied since 1 December 2017.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies a read-only publication CD-DA, VCD, CD-ROM, DVD-Video, DVD-ROM regular detection parameters Number, parameter detection conditions and weathering test.

This standard applies to the CD-ROM, CD-ROM, DVD-Video, DVD-ROM product testing for CD-ROMs.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

2.1 Read-only publication CD-ROM

To copy the contents of the CD-ROM publication, its contents can only be read can not be rewritten.

2.2 CD compact disc

CD An optical disk for reading information using a 8-14 modulation-coded information and a wavelength of 780 nm.

Note 1. CD-ROM mainly includes CD-DA, CD-ROM, VCD and so on.

2.3 Digital audio disc

CD-DA The digital audio information is stored on a disc on a CD disc.

2.4 Read-only storage disc

CD-ROM A CD for a computer's data storage.

Note: rewrite CY/T 85-2012, define 3.5.

2.5 Digital video compact disc

VCD A CD-ROM for storing audio and video information in an MPEG-1 encoded compressed format.

Note: Rewrite CY/T 85-2012, define 3.9.

2.6 Multi-purpose digital disc

DVD An optical disk in which information is read by a laser light having a wavelength of 650 nm using 8-16 modulation and coding information.

Note 1. Data capacity is divided into DVD5 (4.7GB ), DVD10 (9.4GB ), DVD9 (8.5GB ), DVD18 (17GB ) and other four kinds of specifications.
