Scope

GB/T 33057-2022 is the English-translated version of 废弃化学品取样制样方法.

GB/T 33057-2022 is the Chinese national method for taking and preparing samples of waste chemicals. It specifies the safety measures to observe, the sampling itself, the preparation of the sample and the control of the process, and it defines the terms the work uses: batch, batch lot, increment, increment quantity, sample number and small sample.

It applies to waste chemicals in general, but not to waste explosives, waste gases or waste aerosols. Compared with the previous edition it carries a new title, revised safety measures and a new chapter on sample preparation, mechanical preparation included.

It cites GB/T 2007.1-1987 and GB/T 6680-2003 for the general sampling rules, GB/T 3723 for sampling safety, and GB 5085.7 and HJ/T 298-2019 for identifying hazardous waste.

It replaces GB/T 33057-2016, was issued on 30 December 2022 and has applied since 1 July 2023.

This document replaces GB/T 33057-2016 "Sampling Methods for Waste Chemicals". Compared with GB/T 33057-2016, except for structural adjustment In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) the name of the standard has been changed;

b) Added the terms "small sample", "large sample", "sample preparation", "mechanical sample preparation" and their definitions (see 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9);

c) Changed the "safety measures" requirements (see Chapter 4, Chapter 5 of the 2016 edition);

d) Requirements related to "sample preparation" have been added (see Chapter 6).

1 Scope

This document specifies the safety measures, sampling, sample preparation and process control for waste chemical sampling and sample preparation.

This document is applicable to the sampling and sample preparation of waste chemicals.

This document does not apply to waste explosives, waste gases and waste aerosols (also known as "aerosols").

2 Normative references
