Scope

GB/T 43305-2023 is the English-translated version of 废弃化学品相容性试验规程.

GB/T 43305-2023 is the Chinese national practice for compatibility testing of waste chemicals, compatibility being defined as mixing that brings no marked heat, fire, explosion, polymerisation or toxic and harmful substances.

It sets the general provisions, the test contents, the traceability methods and the risk descriptions, and applies to compatibility testing and evaluation during the collection, storage, transport, treatment and disposal of waste chemicals.

Its general clause asks for staff with chemical and safe-operation knowledge, for protective equipment and work in a fume hood, for the waste's source, components and quantity to be identified, for sampling to GB/T 33057, for the chemical compatibility table of Appendix A to be used where the composition is relatively simple, and for testing as soon as the sample reaches room temperature. Issued on 27 November 2023, it has applied since 1 June 2024.

1 Scope

This document specifies the general provisions, test contents, traceability methods and risk descriptions for waste chemical compatibility testing.

This document applies to compatibility testing and evaluation of waste chemicals during collection, storage, transportation, treatment and disposal.

2 Normative reference documents

The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, the dated quotations For undated referenced documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated referenced documents, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 29329 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 compatibility

When waste chemicals are mixed with each other or with specific substances, there will be no obvious heat generation, fire, explosion, polymerization, or toxic substances.

Chemical reactions or physical state changes such as the production of harmful substances.

4 General provisions

4.1 Personnel responsible for compatibility testing of waste chemicals should have basic knowledge of chemistry and safe operations, and be familiar with safe operations. relevant requirements. Protective equipment that meets the requirements should be worn during operation, and all tests should be performed in a fume hood.

4.2 The sources, main components, and quantities of waste chemicals that require compatibility testing should be clearly identified. When it is determined that its ingredients are relatively single, refer to Determine compatibility according to the chemical compatibility table (see Appendix A) and predict the hazards caused by incompatible chemicals.

4.3 Waste chemical samples should be sampled and prepared in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 33057. Protective equipment should be worn when sampling to avoid inhalation and Skin and eye contact. Mixed sampling of waste chemical samples in multiple packaging containers from the same batch with basically the same source and ingredients When mixing, it should be reported whether there is heat, gas generation, precipitation, gelation, etc. during the mixing process. If a reaction is observed, the sample should be removed from each Take samples from individual packages for testing.

4.4 The test should be carried out as soon as possible after the sample is brought to room temperature.
