This standard is the technical specification for ammonia-based flue gas desulphurization, defluorination and dedusting in the aluminum electrolysis process.

Clause 1 states that it specifies the technical requirements, the testing, the judgment and processing and the process control, and that it applies to the ammonia desulfurization and deep fluoride removal of aluminum electrolytic flue gas that has already passed the dry purification process.

Clause 3 adopts the terms and definitions of HJ 2001-2010 and HJ 2033-2013 and adds its own, beginning with aluminum flue gas, defined as the mixture of sulfur dioxide, fluoride, particulate matter and the like contained in the aluminum electrolysis process; one note restricts the term, in this standard, to the exhaust gas after purging with alumina as adsorbent, and a second note states that the definition is rewritten from HJ 2033-2013, definition 3.1.

It was issued on 2016-08-29 and has applied since 2017-07-01.
