Scope
GB/T 31990.5-2017 is the English-translated version of 塑料光纤电力信息传输系统技术规范 第5部分：综合布线.
GB/T 31990.5-2017 is Part 5 of the Chinese technical specification for power information transmission systems on plastic optical fibre, and it deals with the generic cabling of such systems.
It gives the terms and definitions, the design, technical and construction requirements and the engineering inspection and acceptance.
The design clause covers the system architecture, the distribution area, the power information collection network, the equipment room, the multimedia box, the cabling system, the work area and the marking and records.
The technical clause sets system grades, transmission media and fibre optic connectors, environment, electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, mechanical effects, protection against animal damage, environmental compliance and flame retardance.
It applies to plastic optical fibre cabling for power information transmission, and other plastic optical fibre cabling systems may follow it. Issued on 29 December 2017, it has applied since 1 July 2018.

1 Scope
This section GB/T 31990 specifies the plastic optical power transmission system terminology and definitions of integrated wiring, design requirements, technology Requirements, construction requirements and engineering inspection and acceptance.
This section applies to plastic optical fiber power information transmission system integrated wiring (hereinafter referred to as plastic optical fiber cabling system). Other plastic Material fiber cabling system can also refer to the implementation.

3 Terms and definitions
GB/T 31990.1-2015 and GB 50311-2007 as defined by the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Distribution box
A distribution system specifically for distribution of electricity, including the total distribution box and distribution box, such as unspecified, the total distribution box, distribution box together Distribution box.
