GB/T 31080-2025 is the English-translated version of 水产品冷链物流服务规范.

GB/T 31080-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering moving fish and shellfish from the boat to the counter without letting the temperature rise — the qualified personnel and the storage and handling facilities, the information system that records and transmits temperature and raises an alarm, the order processing, transport, storage and packaging steps, the abnormal situations that a broken chain creates, and the indicators by which the service is scored. It replaces GB/T 31080-2014. In force from 1 November 2025. Issued on 1 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 November 2025, replacing GB/T 31080-2014.

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic requirements, service guarantee, service content and requirements, handling of abnormal situations, and service evaluation and improvement for cold chain logistics service of aquatic products.

This document applies to cold chain logistics service activities for aquatic products.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18354 and GB/T 28577, as well as the following apply.

3.1 cold chain logistics of aquatic products

Physical flow process from production to consumption that keeps aquatic products in environmental conditions, such as temperature, required to maintain their quality.

4 Basic requirements

4.1 The aquatic product cold chain logistics service provider shall establish a quality

management system for aquatic product cold chain logistics and conduct regular evaluations and revisions.

4.2 It shall have professional personnel engaged in aquatic product cold chain logistics

services.

4.3 It shall have facilities and equipment suitable for aquatic product cold chain logistics services.

4.4 It shall establish an information system that meets the requirements of aquatic

product cold chain logistics services.

4.5 During the cold chain logistics service process, the environmental temperature and

other parameters of aquatic products shall meet the requirements indicated by the customer or product label, and the entire process shall be recorded.

4.6 Aquatic products shall be delivered safely and promptly according to customer

requirements, and damage and shortage shall be controlled within the allowable range specified in the contract.

5 Service guarantee

5.1 Personnel

5.1.1 Personnel engaged in cold chain logistics service of aquatic products shall possess

relevant technical knowledge.

5.1.2 They shall participate in training and pass the assessment before being allowed to work. Those in certified positions shall hold valid certificates.

5.2 Facilities and equipment

5.2.1 Aquatic product storage and transportation facilities and equipment shall meet the

requirements of 5.10, 5.11, and 5.12 in SC/T 6041-2007.It should use energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and efficient facilities and equipment.

5.2.2 It shall have the necessary work area and handling equipment for loading and unloading aquatic products. The loading and unloading area shall have a flat, impermeable, and water-free surface, and the interior walls and the lower parts of indoor columns should have waterproof wainscoting.

5.2.3 Temperature control devices with temperature monitoring, data display,

information recording, information transmission, and alarm functions shall be provided and calibrated regularly.

5.2.4 Regular maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection shall be carried out, and records

shall be kept. The disinfectants used shall comply with the provisions of GB 14930.2.

5.3 Information system

5.3.1 The information system shall have functions such as temperature monitoring,

information recording, information storage, information transmission and sharing, and alarms.

5.3.2 It should be capable of technical upgrades and functional expansion.

6 Service content and requirements

6.1 Order processing

6.1.1 The aquatic product cold chain logistics service provider shall receive and process

orders according to the contract or agreement signed by both parties.

6.1.2 For orders requiring transshipment or transfer, the information such as route and

time shall be confirmed with the customer in advance. In case of unexpected situations during transshipment, an emergency plan shall be activated and the customer shall be notified promptly.

6.2 Transportation

6.2.1 The transportation of aquatic products shall comply with the requirements of GB

31605-2020, and the transportation of live aquatic products shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 36192.Aquatic products with special temperature requirements shall be handled according to the agreement with the customer.

6.2.2 Aquatic products shall not be mixed or stored with toxic, harmful, odorous, or quality-affecting substances during loading and unloading.

6.2.3 The water quality used during transportation shall comply with the provisions of

GB 11607.

6.3 Storage

6.3.1 Appropriate storage methods and temperatures shall be selected based on the

characteristics of the aquatic products.

6.3.2 The storage of aquatic products shall comply with the requirements of GB 31605- 2020, and the storage of live aquatic products shall comply with the requirements of 7.2 of GB/T 24861-2024.

6.3.3 The process of moving aquatic products into or out of the warehouse shall be carried out in an environment with a suitable operating temperature, and handling time shall be minimized.

6.3.4 When aquatic products leave the warehouse, the quantity, temperature, etc., of the

aquatic products shall be checked, and all relevant documents shall be verified.

6.4 Circulation processing and packaging

6.4.1 When customers request it, the company can provide circulation processing

services that match its business operations.

6.4.2 Processing time and hygiene management of aquatic products shall comply with

the provisions of GB 20941.

6.4.3 Logistics packaging and marking shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 24616.

6.4.4 Packaging materials in direct contact with aquatic products shall comply with the

provisions of GB 4806.1. ......
