Scope
GB/T 29309-2012 is the English-translated version of 电工电子产品加速应力试验规程 高加速寿命试验导则.
GB/T 29309-2012 is the Chinese national guidance on the highly accelerated life test (HALT) for electric and electronic products.
It gives the general requirements, how a test is prepared and the test methods, with the stresses that HALT applies: high and low temperature steps, rapid temperature cycling and six-degree-of-freedom broadband non-Gaussian random vibration.
It applies to electrical and electronic products and to their components, printed boards and assemblies - for a large machine the test is preferably run at assembly level - and it is meant above all for the development, design and pilot production stages, though it can also serve in mass production.
It also says what the test specification and the test report must contain. Issued on 31 December 2012, it has applied since 1 June 2013.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the Highly Accelerated Life Test (HighlyAcceleratedLifeTest, HALT) general requirements, testing and test preparation Test methods.
Highly Accelerated Life Test specified in this standard, the test applied stress include high temperature step, low temperature stepping, rapid temperature change cycle, six from Broadband by the degree of non-Gaussian random vibration stress.
This standard applies to electrical and electronic products and electronic components, printed circuit boards and other components. For large machine, it should be a priority in the front Test assembly level (such as a printed circuit board assembly, sub-module).
This standard also applies to electrical and electronic product development, design and (or) the pilot production phase, it can also be used for mass production stage.
