3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Germination germination
Seed germination in the laboratory and reached a certain stage of development, the main structure of seedlings at this stage can show that it is suitable for the field conditions
Can further grow into normal plants.
3.2
Germination rate germinationpercentage
In Table 1, Table 2 under the conditions and time produced by the normal seedlings accounted for the number of seeds for the test.
3.3
The main structure of seedlings theessentialseedlingstructures
The seedlings can be further developed into the major constructs of normal plants, including root systems (primary roots, seed roots in some cases), seedling embryo axes
(Hypocotyls, hypocotyls, mesocarp, parietal buds in some genera of grasses), cotyledons (1 to several), and coleoptile (all genus Gramineae).
3.4
50% rule the50% rule
More than half or more of the cotyledon or primary leaf tissue has normal function as a normal seedling; if more than half of the tissue does not have
Function (such as missing, necrosis, discoloration or decay), abnormal seedlings. Applies to the evaluation of cotyledons and primary leaves.
Does not apply to the top bud or the evaluation of the surrounding tissue of the top bud. When the top bud or the top of the bud tissue necrosis, decay, regardless of cotyledons and primary leaves
The situation is not normal seedlings.
3.5
Normal seedlings normalseedlings
