This Part replaces GB/T 2930.2-2001 "Grass Seeds Inspection Regulations Clarity Analysis." This section GB/T 2930.2-2001

In addition, editorial changes in addition to the main technical changes are as follows.

1 Scope

GB/T 2930 provisions of this part of the grass seed cleanliness analysis procedures and methods.

This section applies to grass, lawn grass, forage crops, ecological grass, ornamental grasses and medicinal plants and other seed quality inspection of the clarity analysis.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Net seed pureseed

The species described by the submitter or the major species found at the time of analysis, including all botanical varieties and cultivars of that species.

3.2

Other plant seeds otherseeds

Any plant seed unit other than net seed. However, the complex grain seed unit should be separated first and then grouped together with the single seed unit.

For species or genera not specified in the net seed definition (see 8.4), the composite grain structure, pods or capsules should be opened and the seeds removed for use as other plant

seed.

3.3

Impurity

The following seed units and all other substances and constructions other than net seeds or other plant seeds.

a) Seeds units that obviously do not contain true seeds.

b) Flowers smaller than the size of caryopsis specified in 8.2a).

c) In addition to the genus specified in 8.2b), sterile flowers attached to fertile flowers.

d) Broken or damaged seed pieces less than or equal to half the original size.

e) Appendages of seeds not specified in 8.2d).

f) Legumes, seeds of cruciferous plants (including wholegrain and damaged seeds) that are completely detached from the seed coat are classified as impurities. Leguminosae, either

No embryo axis and/or more than half of the seed coat attached, separated cotyledons should be classified as impurities.

g) Achene, fruiting and fruiting branches, other fruits and seeds, observed from the surface without pressure, fluoroscopy or other specialized equipment

The obvious structure of the seeds, as an impurity.

h) Seeds of dodder that are crisp and brittle and are off-white to milky white.
