Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document supersedes GB/T 29288-2012 "General Technical Requirements for Rigid Thermoplastic Polyurethane Foams" and is consistent with GB/T 29288-Compared to 2012, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2012 edition);

b) Added classification varieties and changed the description of "dry and wet processing" in the classification (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the 2012 edition).

c) The technical requirements for the product appearance have been changed (see 5.1, 4.1 in the 2012 edition).

d) The technical requirements and test methods for apparent core density have been changed (see 5.2 and 6.4, 4.2 and 5.3 in the 2012 edition).

e) Increased performance requirements and test methods for thermal conductivity (see 5.2 and 6.9);

f) Increased performance requirements and test methods for sound absorption coefficient (see 5.2 and 6.10);

h) Performance requirements and test methods for total carbon volatiles have been added (see 5.2 and 6.12);

i) Performance requirements and test methods for formaldehyde content have been added (see 5.2 and 6.13);

j) The technical requirements and test methods for odor have been changed (see 5.2 and 6.14, 4.3 and 5.9 in the 2012 edition).

k) Added performance requirements and test methods for atomization performance (condensable components) (see 5.2 and 6.15);

l) Requirements and test methods for combustion performance have been added (see 5.3 and 6.17);

m) Added requirements and test methods for prohibited substances (see 5.4 and 6.18);

n) Increased requirements for sample preparation (see 6.1);

o) Added labeling requirements (see Chapter 8);

p) Added requirements for packaging, transportation, and storage (see Chapter 9);

q) A test method for the initial processable temperature has been added (see Appendix A);

r) The odor rating test method has been removed (see Appendix B of the 2012 edition).
