1 Scope

GB 46520-2025 is the Chinese national standard on burning behavior safety technical specification of thermal insulation materials and products for building, in the field of construction materials and building. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 5 October 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 August 2026. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4132, GB 8624 and GB/T 40248, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 Thermal insulation materials and products used for building insulation.

3.2 homogeneous thermal insulation materials and products Thermal insulation materials and products composed of a single material, or having a uniform density and composition within them.
