3 terms and definitions
GB/T 28878.1 Definitions and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Lubrication
Technical Measures to Improve Friction State of Equipment Friction Pair.
Note. lubrication can reduce the friction resistance, reduce wear and energy consumption, to ensure the normal work of equipment to extend the service life of equipment.
3.2 Elastic hydrodynamic lubrication elasto-hydrodynamiclubrication; EHL
Elastic flow lubrication
Friction interface for the point, line contact, under a certain load, speed and temperature conditions, by the viscous fluid dynamic pressure and contact surface elastic deformation
The effect of the double impact of the lubrication state.
Note. At the end of the 1940s, scientists combined the classic Reynolds fluid lubrication theory of the 1880s with the Herts elastic contact theory
The approximate solution of elastic hydrodynamic lubrication is obtained, which lays the theoretical foundation of elastic fluid lubrication. Since the 1960s through the computer and the number
The results show that the calculation formula of oil film thickness is suitable for engineering design. Theory and Application of Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication
For the modern tribology of one of the main research areas, is also continuing to develop and improve.
3.3 Lubricating oil film
Lubricants in the friction between the formation of a certain thickness of the oil layer.
Note. The lubricating oil is glued to the bearing during rotation, and an oil wedge is created at the contact of the ball with the bearing channel. As the bearing rotates to form a lubricating oil film. Lubricant film thickness […]
