Scope
GB/T 28756-2025 is the English-translated version of 缆索起重机.
GB/T 28756-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the crane that spans a dam site or a gorge on a suspended track cable — the fixed, transverse, swing tower, radial and double arc types, the load-bearing cables and their safety factor, the hoisting, traction and trolley mechanisms, the drums, pulleys, hooks and brakes, the cab and the safety monitoring system, the no-load, static, dynamic and anti-collision tests, and the sag of the loaded cable, which sets the clearance underneath. Annex A sets when a rope running on nylon pulleys has to be scrapped, by visible broken wires, by number of working cycles, and by loss of section. It replaces GB/T 28756-2012, under the China Machinery Industry Federation. In force from 1 December 2025. Issued on 30 May 2025, it has been in force since 1 December 2025, replacing GB/T 28756-2012.
