GB/T 28740-2012 is the English-translated version of 畜禽养殖粪便堆肥处理与利用设备.
GB/T 28740-2012 is a Chinese national standard for equipment that composts and uses the manure of poultry and livestock. It sets out terms and definitions, general requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to facilities and processing equipment for the aerobic fermentation composting of livestock and poultry manure into organic fertiliser. It does not apply to other forms of anaerobic fermentation, nor to the matching processing and utilisation equipment.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions livestock excrement compost processing and utilization equipment, general requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection Inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to livestock and poultry manure aerobic fermentation of organic manure composting facility and processing equipment.
This standard does not apply to other forms of anaerobic fermentation and processing and equipment utilization.
