Scope
GB/T 26936-2011 is the English-translated version of 集装箱自粘标贴.
GB/T 26936-2011 covers marking decals for freight containers, which the draft calls container self-adhesive labels. Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and sticking construction specifications of these labels, as well as packaging, labelling, transport and storage.
The same clause states that it applies to the identification marks of all types of container, that it does not include marks applied by spray painting of any kind nor the paper or PVC spray quality standard mould used for such spraying, and that identification marks for container transport vehicles and port lifting equipment may refer to it.
Clause 3 defines the container marking decal as an identification mark made from self-adhesive PVC film as the substrate by screen printing, film cutting and other procedures, with a note saying that such a label is usually affixed over the flat steel surface, the corrugated board and the welds or rivets of a container, that it is suitable for lining wood, glass and steel (FRP) or rubber surfaces, and that these labels include the ISO container tag, the main box standard mark and other marks required by standards and regulations for the job.
Clause 4, "Technical Requirements", opens with general requirements, the first of which refers the marks to the provisions of GB/T 1836 and allows a tolerance of plus or minus 1 mm, with plus or minus 2 mm for the main box size; the draft breaks off there, so the rest of clause 4 and the clauses on test methods, inspection rules, sticking construction, packaging, labelling, transport and storage are not shown.
Clause 2 cites GB/T 1040.3, GB/T 1543, GB/T 1836, GB/T 2423.17, GB/T 6672, GB 9274, GB/T 9286, GB/T 16422.2-1999, ASTM D1204-2007 and ASTM D3330-2002.
The foreword states that the standard was drafted according to the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009, that it is centrally managed by the National Standardization Technical Committee for containers (SAC/TC6), and that it was drafted by China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. and other units, among them the Institute of Shipping of the Ministry of Transport and the China Container Industry Association. It was issued on 2011-09-29 and has applied since 2012-05-01.

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the container self-adhesive labels of the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and stick construction specifications, as well as packaging, labeling, Transport and storage.
This standard applies to all types of container identification marks, not including the use of various types of spray paint mark, nor did it include such standard for spraying Note paper or PVC spray quality standard mold. Container transport vehicles, lifting equipment and other ports can refer to the use of an identification mark.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Self-adhesive labels Container
With self-adhesive vinyl (adhesive) of (PVC) film as the substrate, by screen printing or film - cut and other procedures made of Identification mark.
Note: The container is usually self-adhesive stickers affixed to cover the surface of flat steel containers, corrugated board, as well as the surface of welds or rivets, suitable for lining wood, glass and steel (FRP) or rubber surfaces. Self-adhesive labels include ISO container tag, the main standard boxes (logo), and the job is labeled other standards and regulatory requirements.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 General requirements
