GB/T 25385-2019 sets out the safety, personnel, equipment, environmental and management requirements for operating and maintaining onshore wind turbines, and it applies to all grid-connected onshore units.

It states what operating and maintenance staff must be able to do, from medical fitness and work permits to first aid and high-altitude rescue, and it gives twenty-seven safety rules covering rotor locking, thunderstorms, nacelle hoists, confined spaces, converter and hydraulic work.

It then covers the monitoring system, abnormal operation and fault handling, monthly operation analysis, regular maintenance - first, semi-annual and annual - consumables and spare parts, and the three classes of flaw.

Its appendices give a lubrication cycle table, a maintenance work sheet and regular maintenance items. It replaces GB/T 25385-2010, was issued on 18 October 2019 and has applied since 1 May 2020.
