Scope
GB/T 31519-2025 is the English-translated version of 风能发电系统 台风型风力发电机组.
GB/T 31519-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the turbine built for the Chinese coast - the extreme wind and the sudden direction change of a typhoon eye, the yaw and pitch behaviour with no grid to power them, the structural design for gusts far above the standard classes and the survival strategy when the machine is left alone. It replaces GB/T 31519-2015. It was issued on 31 December 2025 and has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 31519-2015. The document is under the responsibility of the China Machinery Industry Federation. This page is published from the official record of the 2025 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 31519-2015 "Typhoon-type Wind Turbine Generator Sets". Compared with GB/T 31519-2015, the main differences are in structural adjustments. Aside from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
---The scope has been changed to include both maritime and land-based crews (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2015 edition);
---Some abbreviations have been added (see 4.2);
---The definition of unit safety level has been changed (see 5.2, Chapter 5 of the.2015 edition);
---Added wind profiles during typhoons (see 5.3.6);
---Increased air density (see 5.3.7);
---The operating condition design has been revised, and an offshore unit operating condition has been added (see 5.4, Chapter 6 of the.2015 edition);
---The technical requirements have been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the.2015 edition);
---Typhoon environmental assessment of the installation site has been changed (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the.2015 edition);
--- Installation, operation, and maintenance have been changed (see Chapter 8, Chapter 8 of the.2015 edition). Please note that some content in this document may involve patents.
