GB/T 23444-2024 is the English-translated version of 金属及金属复合材料吊顶板.
GB/T 23444-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the metal and metal-composite panels that make the suspended ceiling of a public or commercial building — the classification, code and marking, the appearance quality and pattern, the thickness and the size deviations, the coating quality and adhesion on steel substrates, the impact and salt spray resistance, the antimicrobial and mildew resistance, the diffuse reflection that decides how the panel handles the light source below it, and the inspection rules. It replaces GB/T 23444-2009, under the China Building Materials Federation. In force from 1 May 2025. Issued on 26 October 2024, it has been in force since 1 May 2025, replacing GB/T 23444-2009.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 23444-2009 "Metal and metal composite ceiling panels".
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The terms and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the 2009 edition);
b) The classification and code have been changed (see 4.1, 4.1 of the 2009 edition);
c) Added requirements for the quality of the coating on steel substrates (see 5.3);
d) Added the requirements for appearance quality and pattern, and changed the requirements for anodized appearance quality (see 6.1, 6.1 of the 2009 edition);
e) The requirements for thickness and allowable deviation have been changed (see 6.2.1, 6.2.1 of the 2009 edition);
f) The requirements for product thickness have been deleted (see 6.2.1 of the 2009 edition);
g) The requirements for the deviation of strip shape and block size between substandard and qualified products have been changed (see 6.2.3, 6.2.4, 2009 edition 6.2.3, 6.2.4);
h) Added the short pitch requirements for stretched mesh panels (see 6.2.9);
i) The requirements and test methods for adhesion to steel substrates have been changed (see 6.4, 6.4 of the 2009 edition);
j) The requirements for impact resistance have been changed (see 6.4, 6.4 of the 2009 edition);
k) Added requirements and test methods for antimicrobial performance (see 6.6, 7.15);
l) Added requirements and test methods for mildew resistance (see 6.7 and 7.16);
m) Added requirements and test methods for diffuse reflection performance of light sources (see 6.8 and 7.17);
n) The requirements and test methods for salt spray resistance have been changed (see 6.4, 6.4 of the 2009 edition);
o) The wind load test method (see Appendix A of the 2009 edition) has been deleted.
