Scope

GB/T 23388-2009 is the English-translated version of 水产饲料安全性评价 残留和蓄积试验规程.

GB/T 23388-2009 fixes the basic technical requirements for the residue and accumulation test procedures used in the safety evaluation of aquafeed. Clause 1 states that it applies to the safety evaluation of feed, single feed and feed additives used for aquatic animals, and excludes medicated feed additives.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 5917.1, GB 11607, GB 13078 and NY 5072, together with three further aquafeed safety evaluation procedures, GB/T 22487 for the acute toxicity test, GB/T 22488 for the sub-acute toxicity test and GB/T 23186 for the chronic toxicity test.

Clause 3, Terms and Definitions, holds four entries, and the only name the draft prints is the abbreviation BCF in the last of them, whose defining text on the page is too broken to restate.

The other three give definitions without their term names: toxicity caused in a significant organ of experimental animals by the test substance; the test substance and its toxicologically significant metabolic products remaining in animals after contact with it; and the effect of repeated doses below the toxic level, where the substance and its metabolites build up when intake exceeds discharge, stay in balance when the two are equal, and are reduced and cleared when discharge is the greater.

The draft breaks off inside the last entry, so the test procedures themselves are not shown and the titles of the clauses after 3 cannot be given; the foreword records one informative annex, Appendix A, without its title.

The standard is handled by the National Feed Industry Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC76) and was published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine with the Standardization Administration.

The page names no superseded edition; it was issued on 2009-03-26 and has applied since 2009-07-01.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

3.1

Any significant organ toxicity in experimental animals by the test substance is caused.

3.2

After contact with animals the test substance, animals remaining in the test substance and its toxicological significance in nature and the number of metabolic (or drop Solution, transformation) of product.

3.3

Less than a toxic dose of the test was repeated with the animal for a time after the body causing toxic reactions occur. In the present statutes It means an animal feed from repeated ingestion, absorption and discharge process the test substance. When the intake is greater than the discharge, the test substance and its metabolites It is possible to gradually increase and accumulate in the body, which accumulate into effect; when the intake is equal to the discharge, the test substance and its metabolites accumulated balance;

When the intake is less than the discharge, the test substance and its metabolites in animals to reduce and clear.

3.4 BCF

Animal feed from the test substance absorbed and accumulated in the target organ toxicant concentration homeostasis in vivo concentration of poison and feed
