Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document is Part 1 of GB/T 23220 "Methods for Storage and Preservation of Tobacco Leaves". GB/T 23220 has released the following parts.

2.Smoke. This document partially replaces GB/T 23220-2008 "Tobacco Leaf Storage and Preservation Methods". Compared with GB/T 23220-2008, except for structural adjustments In addition to general and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

1 Scope

GB/T 23220.1-2023 is the Chinese national standard on tobacco leaves storage and custody method - part 1: raw tobacco, in the field of agriculture. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 6 August 2023 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 December 2023. Classification: ICS 65.160, CCS X87. This document stipulates the storage and custody requirements for raw cigarettes before purchasing, the storage and custody requirements for raw cigarettes at purchasing stations, and the storage of raw cigarettes during turnover and re-curing. Technical requirements include storage, warehouse temperature and humidity requirements and control, storage tobacco pest control, raw tobacco delivery and warehouse safety. This document is applicable to the storage and storage of raw tobacco such as flue-cured tobacco, burley tobacco, and oriental tobacco.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18771.2-2015 and the following apply to this document.
