Scope
GB/T 22105.1-2026 is the English-translated version of 土壤质量 总汞、总砷、总铅的测定 原子荧光法 第1部分:土壤中总汞的测定.
GB/T 22105.1-2026 is Part 1 of the Chinese national standard GB/T 22105 on the determination of total mercury, total arsenic and total lead in soil by atomic fluorescence spectrometry, and describes the method for determining total mercury in soil.
The soil sample is digested by heating with a nitric acid-hydrochloric acid mixture, the mercury in the test solution is reduced to atomic mercury with potassium borohydride and carried by argon into the atomizer, where the fluorescence emitted under a mercury hollow cathode lamp is proportional to the mercury content and is quantified against a calibration series.
The standard covers the principle, reagents and materials, apparatus, samples, analytical procedure, calculation and expression of results, quality assurance and quality control, the test report and the method detection and quantification limits, with reference instrument conditions in Annex A. It replaces GB/T 22105.1-2008: the diluent has been deleted, multi-position electric digestion equipment, sample requirements, quality assurance and control measures, the test report and a quantification limit have been added, and the preparation of the test portion, the expression of results, precision and trueness and the detection limit have been changed.
Issued on 25 May 2026 by SAMR and SAC, it takes effect on 1 December 2026. Classification: ICS 13.080.05, CCS Z 18.

4 Principle
The soil sample is digested by heating with a nitric acid-hydrochloric acid mixed reagent. Potassium borohydride reduces the mercury in the test solution to atomic mercury, which is carried by the carrier gas (argon) into the atomizer. Irradiated by a mercury hollow cathode lamp, the ground-state mercury atoms are excited to a higher energy state and, on returning to the ground state, emit fluorescence of characteristic wavelength. The fluorescence intensity is proportional to the mercury content of the test solution; the content of the sample is obtained by quantitative calculation against a calibration series.
5 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, reagents of guaranteed grade or better complying with GB 15346 shall be used in the analysis, and the water used shall comply with grade 2 water of GB/T 6682.
5.1 Hydrochloric acid (HCl): rho = 1.19 g/mL.
5.2 Nitric acid (HNO3): rho = 1.42 g/mL.
5.3 Potassium hydroxide (KOH).
5.4 Potassium borohydride (KBH4).
