GB/T 19804-2026 is the English-translated version of 焊接结构的一般尺寸公差和形位公差.

Welded structures need agreed tolerances so that parts from different workshops fit together, and this standard provides general tolerances for welded constructions covering dimensions of length and angle as well as shape and position. Design offices, fabricators, welding shops, quality inspectors and purchasers will use it where drawings do not give individual tolerances for every dimension.

By defining general tolerances, it reduces the amount of detail that has to be written on a drawing and gives both parties a common basis for acceptance checks. It replaces GB/T 19804-2005, which means that drawings that quote the earlier edition by number should be reviewed. The standard adopts an international standard and is a recommended national standard (GB/T). It takes effect on 1 April 2027.
