NB/T 42046-2015 is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard for the diverter damper. It lays down the general requirements for the design, the manufacture and the inspection of the three-way flue gas damper.

It applies to adjustable three-way flue dampers used in flue gas waste heat recovery whose flow cross section runs from 2000 mm by 2000 mm to 8000 mm by 8000 mm, rectangular sections within that range included.

Chinese classification J98 and international classification 27.060.30 apply. Among the standards it cites are GB/T 902.1, GB/T 1804-2000, GB/T 11352, GB/T 19804-2005, GB/T 26030, GB/T 28295, GB 50661, the JB/T 4730 parts, JB/T 4732, DL/T 5072 and NB/T 47043.
