GB/T 19663-2022 is the Chinese vocabulary for the lightning protection of information systems, and it applies to the field of lightning protection science and technology.

It is organised in four term chapters: the basic terms, which gather the terms of thunderstorms and of lightning, the terms related to risk, the terms related to lightning protection measures and the terms related to lightning monitoring and early warning, followed by a bibliography and an index.

Entries such as thunderstorm, thunderstorm day, lightning and cloud-to-ground lightning carry their symbol where they have one, the notes that qualify them and the source of the definition where it is taken from another document.

The document has no normative references. It replaces GB/T 19663-2005, was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.
