3 Terms, definitions, symbols

3.1 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions as defined in QB/T 1952.2, as well as the following terms

and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1.1

Foam mattress

A mattress product made of natural latex, synthetic latex, polyurethane and other

materials, which are formed by foaming process as the main core material and

covered with fabric or composite fabric.

3.1.2

Ash content

The incombustible components left after burning of latex or polyurethane materials

in foam mattresses (3.1.1).

3.2 Symbols

The following symbols apply to this document, as shown in Table 1.

4 Product classification

4.1 Classification by main design dimensions of the product

See Table 2 for the classification by main design dimensions of the product.

4.2 Classification by core material

4.2.1 Latex mattress

Mattress with natural or synthetic latex material as the core (core material) and covered

with fabric or other materials on the surface.

5 Requirements

The product shall comply with the requirements of Table 3.

6 Test method

6.1 General test conditions

6.1.1 Test preparation

Before the test, the specimen shall be placed in a standard environment with a

temperature of (23 ± 2) °C and a relative humidity of (50 ± 5)% for at least 24 hours.

During the aging equilibrium period, the mattress shall remain flat and unloaded; the

test shall be conducted indoors.

6.1.2 Measurement accuracy

Unless otherwise specified, the force measurement shall be accurate to ±5%; the mass

measurement shall be accurate to ±0.5%; the size measurement shall be accurate to ±1

mm; the position of the load pad shall be accurate to ±5 mm.

6.2 Test device

6.2.1 Side guard

A device used to prevent the test piece from moving but not to limit the test piece from

tipping over. Its height shall not exceed 12 mm. If the test piece has a special structure,

a higher size may be used; however, its maximum height shall be just enough to prevent

the test piece from moving.

6.6 Physical and chemical properties of textile fabrics

6.6.1 Anti-pilling performance

The anti-pilling performance shall be measured according to the method of GB/T

4802.2 The test load for woven fabrics is (415 ± 2) g; the test load for knitted fabrics

is (155 ± 1) g.

6.11 Mass loss after dry heat aging

Take a specimen with a size of 100 mm × 100 mm × 25 mm. Place it in a standard

environment at a temperature of (23 ± 2) °C and a relative humidity of (50 ± 5)%, until

constant weight. Weigh it (m0). Then place it in an oven at a temperature of (105 ± 2) °C

for 48 hours. Weigh it (m1). Calculate the mass loss after dry heat aging. The number

of specimens is 5.

6.24 Sign

Check whether the product has a sign and whether the content complies with the

provisions of 8.1.

6.25 Instructions for use

Check whether the product has instructions for use and whether the content complies

with the provisions of 8.2.

7 Inspection rules

7.1 Inspection classification

Product inspection is divided into exit-factory inspection and type inspection.

7.2 Exit-factory inspection

7.2.1 Exit-factory inspection items

Exit-factory inspection is an inspection conducted when the product leaves the factory

or is delivered. Serial No.1 ~ 22, 53 ~ 55 (a total of 25 items) in Table 3 are exit-factory

inspection items.

7.2.3 Evaluation of exit-factory inspection results
7.2.3.1 If the basic items of a single product are all qualified, meanwhile the number of

unqualified items of general items is not more than 3, then the product is qualified;

otherwise, it is unqualified.

7.3 Type inspection

7.3.1 Inspection items

All inspection items specified in Chapter 5 (except those required by the contract).

7.3.2 Timing of type inspection

It is performed once a year in normal production; it shall also be conducted in any of

the following situations.

7.3.4 Inspection procedure

The inspection procedure follows the principle of not affecting the correctness of the

remaining inspection items as much as possible.

7.3.5 Determination of inspection results

Inspection results are divided into superior products, first-grade products, qualified

products, unqualified products. The product quality grade is evaluated according to the

provisions of Table 5.

8 Marking, instructions for use, packaging, transportation, storage

8.1 Marking

Product marking shall include at least the following.

8.2 Instructions for use

The main contents of the product instructions for use shall comply with the provisions

of GB/T 5296.6.It shall include at least.
