Foreword

GB/T 18771 Tobacco Terminology is divided into the following 5 parts.

--- Part 1. Tobacco type and tobacco production;

--- Part 2. Tobacco products and tobacco processing;

--- Part 3. Tobacco materials;

--- Part 4. Quality evaluation and testing;

--- Part 5. Tobacco machinery and tobacco-specific testing equipment. This part is the third part of GB/T 18771. This section is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This section replaces GB/T 18771.3-2002 "Tobacco Terms Part 3. Tobacco Materials, Additives". This section is related to Compared with GB/T 18771.3-2002, in addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

--- Modified the name of the standard and changed "cigarette materials and additives" to "cigarette materials";

--- Modified the names and definitions of some terms, such as changing "transparent packaging materials" to "packaging films" and "adhesives" to "cigarette glue" The definitions of terms such as "punched tipping paper" and "drawing wire" were modified;

--- Added some terms, such as "low-ignition-prone cigarette paper", "low-side-flow smoke cigarette paper", "vinegar fiber groove filter rod", etc .;

--- Removed some terms, such as "perforated cigarette paper", "fungicide", "colorant" and so on. This section is proposed by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration. This section is under the jurisdiction of the National Tobacco Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC144). This section was drafted. China Tobacco Science and Technology Information Center, Nantong Acetate Fiber Co., Ltd., China Tobacco Standardization Research Center. The main drafters of this section. 1 Scope

This section of GB/T 18771 specifies the common terms for smoking materials. This section applies to scientific research, education and training, production, operation, management and other activities of the tobacco industry.

Note. Tobacco materials refer to materials used in the processing and packaging of tobacco products in addition to tobacco.

2 Tobacco materials

2.1 Cigarette paper forcigarette Paper products used in the processing of cigarettes.

Note. There are mainly cigarette paper (2.1.1), tipping paper (2.1.2), filter rod forming paper (2.1.3), etc.

2.1.1 Cigarettepaper Special paper for wrapping tobacco shreds into cigarettes.

2.1.1.1 Mechanism cigar paper cigarwrapper Cigarette paper (2.1.1) for rolling cigars.

2.1.1.2 Low ignition propensity cigarette paper Add flame retardant materials in a way to control the tendency of cigarettes to burn freely and meet the requirements of the ignition performance test regulations (2.1.1).

2.1.1.3 Low sidestream smoke cigarette paper sidestreamsmokereducingcigarettepaper Cigarette paper (2.1.1) containing some special ingredients, which can control the release of cigarette sidestream smoke by means of adsorption, decomposition, etc.

2.1.2 Tipping paper Special paper used to roll the cigarette filter rod (2.3) with the cigarette rod.

2.1.2.1 Perforatedtippingpaper Laser, electrostatic, mechanical, etc. perforated tipping paper (2.1.2).

2.1.2.2 Tipping basepaper tippingbasepaper Base paper used when processing tipping paper (2.1.2).

2.1.3 Plugwrap; plugwrappaper; filterwrap Special paper for wrapping filter media when processing cigarette filter rods (2.3).

2.1.3.1 High permeability filter rod forming paper highporosityplugwrap; highlyporousplugwrap Filter rod forming paper (2.1.3) whose air permeability meets the design requirements of ventilation filter rods.

2.2 Tow for cigarette filtertow A long ribbon fiber bundle used for processing cigarette filter rods (2.3), which is composed of a large number of continuous filaments bundled and crimped.

Note. There are mainly cellulose diacetate tow (2.2.1) and polypropylene tow (2.2.2).
