Scope
GB/T 18567-2010 is the English-translated version of 高速公路隧道监控系统模式.
This standard specifies how the monitoring system of a highway tunnel is classified, how its class is determined and what equipment the system is to be configured with.
Clause 1 applies it to highway tunnel monitoring systems and adds that such systems may also be referred to for other roads.
Clause 2 defines the tunnel monitoring system itself and three groups of equipment: monitoring equipment, listed as cameras, traffic incident detection, a vehicle detector, visibility detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, a wind direction and wind speed detector, a brightness detector, a high vehicle detector and fire detectors; alarm equipment, listed as the manual alarm button, the emergency call and automatic fire alarm equipment; and control and guidance equipment, listed as traffic lights, lane control signs, variable information panels, variable speed limit signs, tunnel radio, as well as control devices, ventilation equipment and lighting equipment.
Clause 3 holds the classification and the method of determining it: the size and function of the system shall meet the needs of tunnel traffic safety and are to be judged from the probability and the severity of accident risk, and the classes, five in number and printed in the draft as A, A, B, C and D, follow from the tunnel length L and the design annual average daily traffic volume q of a single tunnel hole by way of Figure 1, a group of highway tunnels being treated as one special whole tunnel.
The same clause requires the mechanical and electrical equipment of the system to be designed for the traffic volume forecast for the fifth year after the tunnel opens, and the embedded bases for the field equipment in the tunnel section to be reserved for the volume forecast for twenty years after opening.
The foreword records that the equipment configuration of the tunnel monitoring system was adjusted in clause 4, that the monitoring classification was changed to five grades and that the calculated monitoring level of the 2001 edition was cancelled.
The standard is in the charge of the National Technical Committee for Traffic Engineering Facilities, highway, SAC/TC223, and was drafted by the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Communications and the National Transportation Safety Facilities Quality Supervision and Inspection Center.
It replaces GB/T 18567-2001, was issued on August 9, 2010 and has applied since December 1, 2010.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 18567-2001 "highway tunnel monitoring system mode", compared with the GB/T 18567-2001 main difference Differences are as follows.
--- The tunnel monitoring classification changed to A, A, B, C, D five grades (see 3.1);
--- Cancellation calculated tunnel monitoring level (see 2001 edition of 3.2.1);
--- Adjustment tunnel monitoring system equipment configuration (see Chapter 4).
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification of highway tunnel monitoring system and method for determining, in principle, the tunnel monitoring system equipment configuration requirements.
This standard applies to highway tunnel monitoring system. Tunnel monitoring system can also refer to other road use.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1 Tunnel Monitoring System
Surveillance, detection and control systems and tunnel traffic tunnel environment.
2.2 Monitoring equipment
Used to monitor the operation of traffic in the tunnel and a tunnel detection devices in traffic and environmental parameters. Including cameras, traffic incident detection, A vehicle detector, visibility detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, wind direction and wind speed detector, the detector brightness, high vehicle detector and fire Detectors.
2.3 Alarm equipment
Equipment used for the tunnel road users in the event of an emergency alarm. Including manual alarm button, emergency call, automatic fire Alarm equipment.
2.4 Control and guidance equipment
It used to tunnel traffic and environmental control devices and induction. Including traffic lights, lane control signs, variable information Panels, variable speed limit signs, tunnel radio, as well as control devices, ventilation equipment and lighting equipment.
3 Tunnel monitoring The classification and identification methods
3.1 Classification principles
Configuring the size and function of expressway tunnel monitoring system should meet the needs of tunnel traffic safety and security. And tunnel construction, road Line shape, the expected level of service (traffic, number of lanes) and other factors have a direct relationship should be based on risk probability and risk of accidents hazards Cheng Degree of judgment.
In general, according to tunnel length and traffic volume on two factors, from high to low is divided into A, A, B, C, D and so on five level. Such as highway tunnel group is regarded as a special whole tunnel, according to the standards required to determine the appropriate level or make the necessary adjustments.
3.2 Level determination
According tunnel length L and a single hole in the tunnel design annual average daily traffic volume q, determine the appropriate level of the tunnel monitoring system in Figure 1.
Annual traffic monitoring system design of the facilities should meet the following requirements.
a) mechanical and electrical equipment monitoring system designed to take the tunnel after the opening of the fifth year forecast traffic volume;
b) field equipment base tunnel section reserved for embedded monitoring system and other design takes after the opening of the tunnel to predict 20 years of traffic.
