Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB 23826-2009 "LED variable speed limit signs for highways". Compared with GB 23826-2009, except for the structural adjustment, In addition to the integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Added the terms and definitions of "highway LED variable speed limit sign", "static visual distance" and "dynamic visual distance" (see 3.1~3.3);

b) The contents of composition, classification and model have been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the.2009 edition);

c) The requirements for ambient temperature adaptability level have been changed (see 5.1.3,

e) Added technical requirements and test methods for single LED deviation angle (see

f) Changed the appearance quality requirements of the controller (see 5.4.3,

5.4.4 of the.2009 edition);

g) The technical requirements for chassis color have been changed (see 5.5.1,

5.5.1 of the.2009 edition);

1 Scope

GB 23826-2025 is the Chinese national standard on light-emitting diode variable speed limit signs of motorway, in the field of services and company organization. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China.
