Scope

GB/T 15589-2013 is the English-translated version of 显微煤岩类型分类.

GB/T 15589-2013 is the Chinese national standard on classification of microlithotype, in the field of mining and minerals. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 17 December 2013 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2014. Classification: ICS 73.040, CCS D26. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

This standard specifies the microscopic coal and rock type classification principles of microscopic coal and rock types, mineralization type microscopic and microscopic mineral type of classification. This standard applies to low rank bituminous coal and anthracite.

3 Classification principles

Microscopic coal and rock type is a combination of natural symbiotic microscopic components, the minimum thickness of 50µm or minimal covering an area of \u200b\u200b50µm × 50µm, quantity (volume fraction) in which the microstructure of the packet (or microscopic components) appear equal to or greater than 5% is determined. It may contain less than 20% of the mineral (e.g. clay, silica, carbonate) or less than 5% of the sulfide minerals. If the mineral content exceeds the above number, press microscopy And the proportion of the component minerals are different types of mineralization known as microscopic or microscopic mineral types.

Note 2. According to a variety of needs can be microscopic coal and rock type and content of press MACERALS further divided into several sub-types.
