1 Scope

GB/T 15589-2013 is the Chinese national standard on classification of microlithotype, in the field of mining and minerals. 3 Classification principles

Microscopic coal and rock type is a combination of natural symbiotic microscopic components, the minimum thickness of 50µm or minimal covering an area of \u200b\u200b50µm × 50µm, quantity (volume fraction) in which the microstructure of the packet (or microscopic components) appear equal to or greater than 5% is determined.
