Introduction

Food terminology standards are important foundational standards in the food industry, playing a role in regulating various food standards and information exchange.

Some terminology in GB/T 15091-1994 is no longer suitable for the current industry situation and needs to be revised and updated. This is to meet the needs of producers, management agencies, and other organizations.

The requirements for classifying processed foods have been addressed, and the content related to the classification of processed foods has been expanded. GB/T 15091, "Basic Terminology and Classification of Processed Foods," is proposed to be drafted by two departments.

Composition.

---Part 1: Basic Terminology for Processed Foods. The purpose is to determine the basic terminology for processed foods and define the general terminology used in processing foods.

Product terminology, food quality terminology, processing technology terminology, and food nutrition terminology.

---Part 2: Classification of Processed Foods. The purpose is to standardize the classification of processed foods, promote mutual understanding, and facilitate information exchange.

For use by relevant organizations.
