3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 5000, GB/T 3303 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Chun glaze red The glaze has a drop mouth, fine, moist and bright cracks, and is a uniform deep red glaze.

3.2 Langyao Red The glaze has a peeling mouth, coarse glaze cracks, and is bright red in color, gradually deepening from top to bottom.

Note. Also known as ruby red and oxblood red.

3.3 Sanyang Kaitai The decoration is composed of Langyao red and black glaze. The decoration method is to evenly arrange three Langyao red pieces around the porcelain, and the mouth of the vessel is Langyao red from light to dark. The red part is kiln red, and the rest of the part is black. The junction of red and black naturally forms a transitional color of yellow, blue and green.
