Scope

GB/T 13171.1-2022 is the English-translated version of 洗衣粉 第1部分:技术要求.

GB/T 13171.1-2022 is the Chinese national product standard for laundry powder produced with surfactants and other additives.

It splits the field in two - phosphorus-containing powders, marked HL-A when ordinary and HL-B when concentrated, and phosphorus-free powders, marked WL-A and WL-B - and divides concentrated phosphorus-free powder further into type I, with a total active content of at least 13% together with at least 6.5% nonionic surfactant, and type II, at least 18% total active with no nonionic requirement.

It then sets the raw-material and physical-chemical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 26396, GB/T 13174-2021 and QB/T 2952.

It replaces GB/T 13171.1-2009, was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 August 2023.
