Foreword
This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 "Directives for standardization - Part
1.Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents". This document replaces GB/T 13206-2011 "Glycerin". Compared with GB/T 13206- 2011, in addition to the structural adjustments and editorial modifications, the main changes in this document are as follows:
a) Change the requirements for color index (see
5.2 of this Edition;
4.2 of Edition 2011);
b) Add the requirements for diethylene glycol content index (see
5.2 of this Edition). Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. 1 Scope

This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life for glycerines (glycerol). This document applies to industrial refined glycerine produced from glycerin- containing sweet water produced by saponification, hydrolysis or transesterification of animal and vegetable oils and fats.

4 Product structure

5 Requirements
5.1 Traits It shall be a colorless or slightly yellow transparent viscous liquid.
6 Test methods
6.1 Basic requirements Unless otherwise stated, only reagents confirmed to be analytically pure and grade three or above water complying with GB/T 6682 are used in the analysis.
6.2 Appearance Sensory determination.
6.3 Odor Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.6 Density Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.7 Chloride content Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.8 Sulfated ash Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.9 Acidity or alkalinity Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.10 Saponification equivalent Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.11 Arsenic content Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.12 Heavy metal content Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13216.
6.13 Reducing substances
6.13.1 Reagents The reagents used are as follows:
6.14 Diethylene glycol content Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 21842.
7.1 Inspection classification
7.1.1 Exit-factory inspection The exit-factory inspection items include all items in Chapter 5 except arsenic content, heavy metal content, sulfated ash content, and diethylene glycol content.
7.1.2 Type inspection The type inspection items include all items specified in Chapter
5.Type inspection shall be carried out under the following circumstances.
7.2 Batching and sampling rules
7.2.1 Batching Products of the same type, specification, and batch number delivered at one time form a delivery batch. Products must be inspected by the quality inspection department of the manufacturer in accordance with the test methods specified in this document, and a quality certificate must be issued before leaving the factory. The receiver shall take samples for acceptance within one month after the goods arrive according to 7.2.2.
7.3 Determination rules The inspection results are determined according to the rounding value comparison method of GB/T 8170.If one or more indicators do not meet the requirements of this document, double sampling shall be taken from the delivery batch again. Re-inspect the unqualified items. If the re-inspection results comply with the provisions of this document, the batch of products will be deemed qualified. If it still fails, the batch of products will be deemed to be unqualified.
8 Marks, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life
8.1 Marks The marks (patterns and text) printed on the outside of product packaging containers shall be clear, non-fading, and indicate.
8.2 Packaging Product packaging shall use aluminum drums (with iron reinforced frames), plastic drums, zinc-coated or resin-coated iron containers. Barrels and cans shall be tightly covered and sealed to prevent leakage and moisture absorption.
